History
We are a rural credit union located just outside the Winnipeg city limits. The credit union was incorporated in 1940 with 15 Members and one hundred and twenty five dollars in deposits. In the last 71 years, the credit union has grown to $140,000,000 in assets representing over 4,100 Members. We believe in the local control of our Member-owned business.
As such, our seven person Board of Directors are all farmers and business people within our trade area. We opened a branch in Headingley, Manitoba in 1994. When you deposit your money with our institution, about 80% of the money is immediately reinvested back into our trade area in the form of loans and lines of credit. We accept all forms of lending to families, farms and businesses within our trade area.
We have faith in our local economies and are determined to provide services that ensure the continued growth and success of Starbuck and Headingley and the surrounding districts.
